About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead our disinformation identification and mitigation efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects aimed at identifying and mitigating disinformation across a variety of platforms and channels, including social media, online news, and other digital media. This is a critical role that requires a working proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese and you will help to protect our clients and their stakeholders from the harmful effects of disinformation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies and tactics to identify and mitigate disinformation across multiple platforms and channels.

• Lead and manage a team of professionals with diverse backgrounds and expertise to execute the project plan.

• Collaborate with other teams within the organisation to ensure that disinformation identification and mitigation efforts are aligned with the overall strategy and goals of the organisation.

• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as social media platforms, news organisations, and other partners, to coordinate efforts and share information.

• Monitor and analyse disinformation trends and patterns, and provide regular reports and recommendations to the senior management team.

• Develop and maintain processes for identifying, evaluating, and responding to potential disinformation threats.

• Ensure that all project activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Monitor and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and ensure that appropriate actions are taken to address them.

Requirements:

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with internal teams.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as communications, journalism, public policy, or a related area. A Master's degree is preferred.

• At least five years of experience in a project management role, with a track record of successfully leading complex, high-stakes projects.

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of disinformation and its impact on society, including familiarity with relevant academic research, industry trends, and policy debates.

• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing relationships with external partners.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and persuade others.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions based on data and evidence. • Experience in using project management tools and techniques, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, to manage projects effectively.

• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly changing environment.

• Passion for social impact and a commitment to promoting integrity and accountability in public discourse.

• Excellent understanding of social media platforms such as TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.

• Ability to understand brief requirements and deliver effective and practical solutions.
  Interest in political/current affairs.
